Some Initial Thoughts On Monogram Stationary

It used to be that to send a letter was such a simple thing. One just pulled out a piece of paper and went to work. A piece of notebook paper was as good as any other type of paper, after all. Who gave a second thought to whether or not there were little blue lines running horizontally across the page or if the paper was entirely free of such lines? However, stasis never has been a reality. Things change; stationary, too.

As time progressed, pictures and monograms were often added to stationary in its continual evolution. This article particularly addresses monogram stationary in all of its strangeness and glory.

Monogram stationary is special. It is special as, for better or worse, it shows that the person utilizing the stationary has personalized it for his or her exclusive use. After-all, who would want to write a letter to his grandmother with stationary that has somebody else's initials running across it? Sometimes these initials are truly found all across the page, even if only subtly printed. Other times, the initials will be found in only one place on the page. All monogram stationary is different, just like initials and people.

Yet while such an emblem on a person's writing paper may seem a bit much, conceited even, there is another side to this. Pride in all of its glory can be just that: glorious. Psychologists today assure us that without an inkling of pride, a person is doomed to a miserable, unhappy life, in which s/he may not even be allowed to swim in the gene pool, as it were.

The truth is that monogram stationary greets a reader of the letter with the idea of "Hello! I love myself, and therefore, I find it easier to love others. I may just love you, too!" Though this might seem a bit far-fetched initially -if you'll pardon the pun, think back to the time that you, too, have received such mail. A letterhead which proudly displays the initials of the person who wrote to you intrigues or amuses, if only for a brief moment.

So, the next time you head for a stationary shop, look closely: you just may find your own "identity" printed on paper for all to see.
